I've read about Alvin's and Ben's blog, and am here to second Ben's views on Pop music.
Aren't you tired of pop songs? Songs about love, studs, babes, sex, lust, blah blah. To me it seems all so shallow. Any bimbo or himbo can do a love song, as in writing a love song.There's no content in the songs. I can just look at the lyrics of one love song and start ripping ideas off it and come out with totally new lyrics for another love song. The ideas they have are just too similiar and shallow. I really couldn't bother about what those songs say. I couldn't care if a hypermammiferous female popstar sings " I'm a... slave... for you." (Oh didya know that it was Prince who wrote that song? Imagine him prancing around and singing it to you! And he's gay too.) And, to add to that most love songs are written by songwriters and not by the artistes themselves. It's not their own product. And that sux. Rock groups, however tend to write their own songs. And for those pop groups that DID try to write their own songs, (A1) what kind of crap did they come up with? Pathetic ones thats about... girls and guys BG relationship. "Oh give me one more try..." Bleaurgh.
Aren't you sick of that yet? Well i am. It's not that I do not like pop music. It's just that i do not like whats being put into the music, the lyrics, the effort by the artiste.These people are taking away the credit. That's why I love rock music, for the music itself, and the lyrics. It's the art of noise after all.
And Alvin, I wouldn't mind if someone decides to be a music critic and deem rock music as trash. They have their rights to their own opinion and I think it is perfectly all rite if that's their stand. Not that I will agree with them, but I respect their opinion because they are fully entitled to it. And I'm also entitled to my own opinions of music, rite? Then I have every right to continue supporting rock music. I'm against pop music but not the people who listens to pop music. Ok?

lucky xiaozheng, gets to go back to hongkong. sigh. Wanna go back to see what it's like since i've not been back there for like 5 years. But i'm going to Taiwan though, and b4 anyone starts cheering i'm leaving on Christmas. (FUCK no presents from parents.)
